Airtel Tanzania is continuing to strengthen digital financial inclusion in the country by expanding cashless payment solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through its Merchant Pay service. The initiative is aimed at helping businesses operate more efficiently by providing secure, reliable, and convenient digital payment options.

As part of the expansion, Kitambaa Cheupe has joined the growing network of merchants accepting Lipa kwa Simu payments through Airtel Money. Customers can now pay for drinks, food, and other services directly from their mobile phones without the need to carry cash, making transactions faster and more convenient.

The adoption of digital payment services is expected to benefit businesses by improving transaction security, simplifying financial record management, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Airtel Tanzania says the solution is designed to support the evolving needs of SMEs while also improving customer experience in everyday social and lifestyle settings.

Through Airtel Money, the company continues to position itself as a key enabler of digital financial inclusion in Tanzania. Airtel Tanzania reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth of SMEs by delivering innovative financial solutions that help businesses grow and adapt to an increasingly cashless economy.
